Amos 5:7-9

⁷For those who overturn ^(A)justice into wormwood
And put righteousness down to the earth.”

⁸He who made the ^(B)Pleiades and Orion
And ^(C)overturns the shadow of death into morning,
^[a]Who also ^(D)darkens day into night,
Who ^(E)calls for the waters of the sea
And pours them out on the surface of the earth,
^(F)Yahweh is His name.
⁹It is He who ^(G)flashes forth with devastation upon the strong
So that ^(H)devastation comes upon the fortification.
